On October 18, 2019, the State Of New York Public Service Commission granted Eight Point Wind, LLC a Certificate of Environmental Compatibility and Public Need (Certificate) to construct and operate a 16.5-mile 115 kilovolt (kV) transmission line and associated facilities (Project or Facility). Siting Board Grants Approval for Eight Point Wind
On August 20, 2019, the New York State Board on Electric Generation Siting and the Environment granted approval to Eight Point Wind LLC to build and operate a wind farm facility in Steuben County, New York. Notice of Informational Forums and Public Statement Hearings Issued
Public comment is sought on an application filed by Eight Point Wind, LLC for authority to build and operate a 101.8-megawatt wind energy project. Governor Cuomo Announces $360 Million for 11 New Large-Scale Renewable Energy Projects
01/12/2017-Governor Andrew M. Cuomo announced $360 million in awards for 11 large-scale renewable energy projects throughout the state in his State of the State. The projects include the Eight Point Wind Energy Center and provide strong support for the Clean Energy Standard that 50 percent of New York’s electricity come from renewable energy sources by 2030.
